1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using FriendsIN, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18, be able to enter a legal agreement, and provide accurate account information. Accounts are intended for the individual who created them; do not create deceptive, duplicate, or shared identities to evade product or safety rules.
3. Account responsibility
You are responsible for keeping your account secure, maintaining accurate profile information, and activity performed through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Acceptable use
You must not misuse FriendsIN or help someone else do so.
- Do not harass, threaten, stalk, impersonate, exploit, discriminate against, or abuse another person.
- Do not scam, spam, phish, post illegal content, or use Events or Meetups for deceptive or prohibited conduct.
- Do not create fraudulent accounts or manipulate location, Trust, verification, attendance, or safety systems.
- Do not interfere with the service, attempt unauthorised access, or evade restrictions or enforcement.
5. Profiles and user content
You retain the rights you have in content you submit. You give FriendsIN a non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit, adapt for technical formats, and otherwise process that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. You must have the necessary rights to anything you upload and must respect other people's privacy and rights.
6. Discovery and matching
Recommendations and matches are not guaranteed. Location, interests, languages, preferences, travel information, activity, and other relevant signals may influence results. Ranking and recommendation systems may change over time.
7. Trust and verification
Verification, Trust Scores, levels, and reliability indicators are product signals, not promises about identity, safety, or future conduct. FriendsIN may review, correct, suspend, or revoke a verification or status when reasonably necessary.
8. Meetups
Meetups are arranged between users. You remain responsible for your decisions and personal safety. Consider meeting in public, telling someone your plans, and leaving if you feel uncomfortable. FriendsIN cannot guarantee another person's identity, conduct, intentions, or the outcome of a Meetup.
9. Events
Hosts must describe Events accurately, manage capacity responsibly, communicate material changes, and follow venue, safety, and community rules. Attendees must behave respectfully and follow legitimate host and venue requirements. Attendance verification, cancellation, no-show rules, feedback, and host reliability features may apply. Unsafe, misleading, illegal, or abusive Events are prohibited.
10. QR attendance
Where available, QR attendance verification may confirm Event participation and support Trust or reliability features. Do not share, forge, manipulate, or misuse attendance codes.
11. Safety and reports
You can block or report users and content. FriendsIN may investigate suspected abuse, moderate content, preserve relevant evidence, and restrict accounts or features. If there is an immediate danger or emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency service rather than relying on FriendsIN.
12. Travel features
Planned Travel is information provided by users and may change or be inaccurate. FriendsIN does not provide travel, visa, immigration, accommodation, or personal-safety guarantees. Premium may be required for some travel or international discovery features.
13. Language Exchange
Language Exchange matches are recommendations. Users are responsible for the content and conduct of their exchanges, and no learning or educational outcome is guaranteed.
14. Premium and subscriptions
Some features require a paid subscription. Billing, renewal, and cancellation may be managed by the relevant app store or approved provider. Cancel through that provider where required. Features and prices may change subject to applicable notice, law, and store rules. Refunds are governed by applicable law and the relevant provider's policies.
15. Suspension and termination
FriendsIN may warn, restrict, suspend, or remove an account or feature for safety violations, abuse, fraud, repeated reliability problems where relevant, policy violations, risk to the community or service, or legal requirements. Decisions may take account of context and available evidence.
16. Account deletion
You may request deletion using the account deletion flow. Access will end and information will be removed, anonymised, or retained as described in the Privacy Policy and applicable retention rules. Deletion does not cancel obligations already incurred with an app store or payment provider.
17. Service availability
We work to keep FriendsIN available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent access. Features may be changed, paused, or discontinued for operational, safety, legal, or product reasons.
18. Changes
We may update these Terms as FriendsIN, applicable rules, or legal requirements change. The current version and date appear on this page. Material changes may be communicated through the app or another appropriate channel.
19. Governing and legal terms
Applicable law and any mandatory consumer rights govern these Terms. Specific governing-law, venue, legal-entity, and registered-address details will be added only after legal review and approval.
20. Contact
